CASNR Career Expo set for Feb. 7 at Texas Tech Student Union Ballroom
Texas Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources will host a Spring Career Expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday (Feb. 7) at the university's Student Union Ballroom. This year's Expo features company representatives from more than 30 businesses eager to meet and schedule Tech students for potential interviews.
Noting the difficult economic times, Jared Lay, Texas Tech University Career Services' liaison with the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, strongly encouraged students seeking jobs to bring updated resumes and to dress professionally.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for students to visit with many employers at one time," Lay said, "and it is important for our students to make a professional first impression on prospective future employers."

Texas Tech University Career Services views a student's career development as a part of the student's overall college and life experience, said Director of University Career Services Jay Killough. "Our primary focus is to assist in career development and education," he said.
The office provides an extensive list of online jobs and on-campus interviews through RaiderJobs, as well as career counseling for students to explore those factors that influence career decisions. Officials note that Texas Tech is dedicated to student success by preparing learners to be ethical leaders for a diverse and globally competitive workforce.
