Add'em Up; New manager of CASNR Administration & Finance comes aboard
Texas Tech graduate Molly Redden has been named the new unit manager for administration and finance for Texas Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. According to university officials, she stepped into her new post on Jan. 1.
The New Mexico native is responsible for managing accounts for CASNR's dean and associate deans, as well as assisting the college's departments in budgets and faculty salaries. In addition, she'll process new position paperwork, verify expenditures, balance budgets and be responsible for dean's office inventory.
"I'm very grateful to be here," Redden said. "And, I enjoy working with the business managers, faculty and staff of the CASNR departments."
Redden received her bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas Tech. Along with her current responsibilities, she's also pursuing a master's degree in business administration from Tech's Rawls College of Business.
Prior to joining CASNR, Redden was lead account processor with Tech's Department of Animal and Food Sciences. In that position she maintained grants and other accounts for faculty members, as well as managing budgets for scholarships.
"I enjoyed working with the people of AFS and CASNR already, and knew that by applying for this position I'd still be able to work with great people," Redden said. "Also, this is a good opportunity to expand my experience to a different level." CASNR's administration and finance unit manager position was formerly held by Dianne Coffman who retired on Thursday (Jan. 31) after 27 years of service to Texas Tech University.
