Faculty, top students highlight CASNR Honors Banquet at Tech's Alumni Center
Standout students, staff and faculty from across Texas Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources were honored Thursday (Apr. 21) at its annual honors banquet at the university's McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center in Lubbock. Sponsored by the Ag Council, the event featured a variety of honors.
Recipients of the outstanding student departmental awards were:

Separately, new Ag Council leaders for the 2016 -2017 were recognized. They are Randal Howard, president; Jack Clark, vice president; Katelyn Keach, secretary; Sterling Kothmann, treasurer; and Emily Oliver, scribe. Student Government Senators for 2016-2017 were Alec Winfrey, Emily Fouts and Walker Carson. The club of the semester for Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 was Sigma Alpha.
Meanwhile, outstanding professor awards went to Dick Auld for Fall 2015 and Jon Ulmer for Spring 2016. Outstanding staff members were Elizabeth Bertrand for Fall 2015 and CassiDe Street for Spring 2016.
