Name: Landee Kieschnick; Major: Agricultural Communications; Classification: Junior; Organization: Ambassadors for Agriculture; Hometown: Vernon; Month: December
Landee Kieschnick, a junior agricultural communications major from Vernon, has been named Texas Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Ag Council's December Aggie of the Month. Kieschnick said that to be recognized amongst the best students in the college on behalf of the Ambassadors for Agriculture is a humbling experience.
"It's a great honor and I am humbled to have been recognized and to represent the many ag organizations on campus." Kieschnick said. "Being named December 'Aggie of the Month' is a huge accomplishment and is a moment I will cherish for the rest of my career and life."
Upon the completion of a bachelors and master's degree in agricultural communications from Texas Tech, Kieschnick hopes to one-day work as a communications specialist for an agricultural business or organization.
A passion for agriculture advocacy and a family legacy of Red Raiders, led Kieschnick to choose Texas Tech and CASNR. "My favorite thing about CASNR and Texas Tech is how friendly and welcoming everyone is," she said. "CASNR has provided me many amazing opportunities and internships that I believe will help me tremendously after college."
