Implied in the TTU at Amarillo - Mission and Goal Statements are directives to interact in the community with Business, industry, economic development, educational institutions and others to foster partnering relationships for long term collaboration. One of the primary goals is to represent Texas Tech University as a comprehensive and diverse resource for progress and to gain recognition for the university in the minds of residents of Amarillo and the surrounding region.

     Since 2004, TTU at Amarillo has participated in the annual Business Connection event conducted by the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce.

     Held in the 500,000 sq. ft. Civic Center and Convention Complex some 400-500 business, education, health care, information and service providers gather to advertise themselves to 8,000 – 9,000 visitors.
