Implicit in the Strategic Plan – Mission and Goal Statements for TTU at AMARILLO are commitments to engage in Community activities which reflect favorably in the institution as a whole.

These include, but are not limited to:

- Engagement with educational entities in our service region presenting Texas Tech University as a viable and attractive post-secondary option for consideration.
     1. Represent TTU in activities in Grades K-12 by participation in Career Fairs, Judging in Science Fairs, Presentations at the request of faculty and staff regarding careers in math, science and engineering.
     2. Interact with regional post-secondary institutions providing recruiting materials, presentations, service on advisory boards and other interactions which promote TTU as a wise choice for higher education.
     3. Work with the colleges Outreach and Distance Education, Engineering and Education in the advertisement, promotion and hosting of graduate level degrees for working professionals through the innovative use of Distance Learning technologies and delivery systems.
