Garrett Thompson received his B.S. degree in Animal Science from Texas Tech University
in 2011. While completing his Bachelors degree he began to work with dogs and pigs
as an undergraduate assistant under Dr. McGlone. His work with dogs and pheromones
became Garrett's primary focus and is what drove him to pursue his M.S. in Animal
Science. His research experience includes working with pigs at the Texas Tech Farm
for multiple studies. However, Garrett's thesis topic is focusing on the testing of
pheromones in anxious dogs and cats. He will complete his M.S. degree in December
of 2012 and continue his pheromone research as he pursues a doctorate in Animal Behavior
and Welfare.
