My Interests and Current Projects

My main research interests involve the evolution and systematics of hominids during the Pleistocene and early Holocene, and the origins of modern humans. My current work has been focused primarily on the Chinese and Southeast Asian specimens of Homo erectus, and the origins of the Australians. I have participated in fieldwork in the Rancah district of West Java, Indonesia, and I have studied fossil collections in Germany, Indonesia, the Netherlands, and Australia.
