James P. Williamson

James P. Williamson obtained his Bachelor of Architecture at Texas Tech and earned his Master of Architecture at the Cranbrook Academy of Art. He also studied the history and theory of architecture at the Architectural Association of London.
Prior to becoming Dean of TTU's College of Architecture, Williamson was at Cornell, where he taught, directed the undergraduate and graduate Architecture programs, served as coordinator of the freshman design sequence, and developed foreign study programs in Latin America and the Caribbean that focus on architecture and landscape and urban designs.
In addition to his experience at Cornell, he has taught design and theory at Harvard, the Rhode Island School of Design, Rice University, the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, Columbia University, the University of Texas at Austin, and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
