7th Annual School of Art Community Open House

LUBBOCK - The Texas Tech University School of Art will open its doors to the public during its 7th Annual Community Open House Friday, March 7, 2014 from 10am - 4pm. The event is free and open to the public.
Attendees will have a chance to peek behind the scenes at the school's teaching facilities. Activities will include tours of the studios, hands-on demonstrations and workshops led by Texas Tech's art faculty, and art sales organized by Texas Tech's student art clubs.
Faculty will also review high school student portfolios. The review provides interested students an in-person opportunity to apply for advanced placement credit and a partial scholarship to Texas Tech School of Art.

The day will culminate with a reception recognizing the artists in the Annual Studio Art BFA Senior Group Exhibition from 4 - 6 p.m. in the Studio Gallery.
The Art Building is located at 2802 18th Street (near the corner of 18th Street and Flint Avenue, just east of the Architecture Building on the Texas Tech campus).
Visitor parking will be available in the small lot adjacent the Art Building or on the Fourth Floor of the Flint Avenue Parking Garage for $1.20 per hour.
