Competitive Undergraduate Scholarships Available
Below are the School of Art undergraduate scholarships available for 2011 - 2012. Scholarship deadline for continuing students ended February 28, 2011. The application deadline for incoming freshman is March 31, 2011.
NEW STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS [application form]
Sue & John Lott – Regents Endowed Scholarship
$1,000 award and $500 award
Established in 2005 by John & Sue Lott with matching funding from the TTU Regents Scholarship Program to provide talent-based scholarships to assist in “attracting the brightest and most gifted students” to Texas Tech University.
Geneva Griffin – Regents Endowed Scholarship
$1,000 award and $500 award
Established in 2005 by Ms. Geneva Griffin with matching funding from the TTU Regents Scholarship Program to provide talent-based undergraduate and MFA candidate scholarships to assist in “attracting and retaining the brightest and most gifted students” to Texas Tech University.

Art Memorial Endowed Scholarship
$750 award (two available)
Established 1976 by the consolidation of various Art Department gifts and funds, including those made by Paul Hanna and Ethel Jane Beitler into one endowment to provide undergraduate art student scholarships.

Captain Paul E. Marion Art Endowed Scholarship

Established 2001 Raye Leigh and Jonathan Stone of College Station, Texas with the family of Paul Marion to provide scholarships for undergraduate art majors, with preference given to those art students serving in APO service organization, Army ROTC or Kappa Sigma.

Established 1993 by Delilah Roch of Lubbock to provide scholarships to all level art majors focusing on sculpture or painting.

Bill Lockhart Endowed Scholarship Endowment
$1,000 award and $500 award available
Established in 2007 by the friends and family of Dr. Bill Lockhart, founding director of the Art Department in 1967, to support art majors who will go into education.
W. Reid Hastie Memorial Endowed Scholarship
$750 award
Established in 1996 by family and friends of W. Reid Hastie to provide scholarships to qualified junior or senior art education majors or to MAE candidates or Fine Arts doctoral candidates with an emphasis in art.
Clarence E. Kincaid Memorial Endowed Scholarship
$500 award
Established 1996 by Ms. Susan Kincaid of Lubbock, with additional support from family and friends of Clarence Kincaid, to provide scholarships for junior or senior art education majors or to MAE candidates or Fine Arts doctoral candidates with an emphasis in art.
Charles M. Pijan Memorial Endowed Scholarship
$500 award
Established in 1990 by Herbert James Pijan to provide scholarships to undergraduate students in the School of Art on the basis of financial need.
