Spring 2001          Postcards With an Edge

The "Postcards With an Edge" Collection

Mike Emme is looking forward to seeing you at the NAEA Conference session titled "Postcards With an Edge."

Sat 12:00 - 12:50 PM
CAUCUS FOR SOCIAL THEORY IN ART EDUCATION Sutton Center
Postcards With An Edge/SEC
Presented by: Michael Emme

Participants in this exhibit sent postcards describing or showing classroom and/or community practice as an art educator. Come visit the exhibit. This session is an opportunity to explore activism as an aspect of art education. Mike hopes that this project will evolve into a discussion of future directions for the Caucus.

In addition to the display at the 2001 NAEA Conference, these postcards will be:

1. Reproduced (as many as will fit) as an activist art teacher's resource in the next volume of The Journal of Social Theory in Art Education,
2. Exhibited at several Universities in the US and Canada,
3. Published on the Caucus on Social Theory & Art Education Website.

Participants in the project will receive digital copies of all contributions.
