In Any Language, You're Welcome Here
THE COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES at Texas Tech University is a portal to diversity of thought, ideology, and learning through the interactions between faculty and students. Arts and Sciences is home to 16 academic departments and several centers and institutes.
OUR STRENGTH LIES IN OUR DIVERSITY. We have a committed, engaged, and productive faculty who are intellectual leaders in academia, industry, public policy, and social services. Our staff provide integral support to the academic missions of their departments as well as to the college.
DEPARTMENTAL AND COLLEGE ADVISORS will work with you to develop a degree plan and counsel you on matters relating to course selection, degree options, and broad curricular matters.
IN PARALLEL WITH THE UNIVERSITY, our college is in a period of growth and transition. Our advancements are being translated into new educational opportunities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, along with the enhancement and expansion of existing programs. We also are updating and improving the space and facilities in the college advising offices on the first floor of Holden Hall during the fall.
I ENCOURAGE YOU TO EXPLORE courses that are offered by our departments in the college and within the university as a whole. Don’t be afraid to veer off the proscribed career path to learn about something you’ve always been interested in.
IF YOU PLAN A VISIT TO CAMPUS, and would like to meet with me about the college or your educational plans, please don’t hesitate to contact me to set up an appointment.
EQUALLY, IF YOU ARE AN ALUMNUS and returning to Tech for a game, a social event, or just to visit your alma mater, please feel free to come visit the college. We are still in ‘old’ Holden Hall, the site of the first museum at Texas Tech University.
