The College of Arts & Sciences offers several degree programs that can be customized to fit a variety of academic and pre-professional goals.
- Bachelor of General Studies (B.G.S.)
This degree is Texas Tech’s premier plan for those students wishing to exercise the greatest level of flexibility in their course of study. - Pre-Professional Heath Careers
To allow the greatest number of post-graduate options in the heath-care field, Texas Tech guides students to and through a range of traditional disciplines, geared to specific career tracks. - Pre-Law Track
The traditional degrees conferred by The College of Arts & Sciences are well suited to preparing students for Law School. - Interdisciplinary Minors
The College of Arts & Sciences has designed more than 15 programs to meet the wide-ranging interests of interdisciplinary students. - Undeclared Majors
Students may enter Texas Tech without declaring a major. However, once students have attained 45 hours, Texas State Law requires that they declare a major within the following two semesters.
