Students often have registration holds on their accounts which will prevent adds and drops. Holds can only be removed by the office that originally placed the hold. Students should contact the appropriate offices to have holds removed or bumped to a future date.
To check your holds, log in to Raiderlink using your eRaider username and password. Navigate to the TTU MyTech tab. Under the Manage My Enrollment header, select Registration. Select Registration Status (Dates & Holds). If you have a hold that will prevent registration, please contact the department that issued the hold to find out how to remove it.
If you receive an error concerning a Time Ticket, please contact your assigned advisor for assistance.
Common Registration Holds
Texas Success Initiative (TSI)
All students attending college in the state of Texas, including students taking courses at a satellite campus or online, must meet the state requirements for TSI. Students with a TSI hold must take the Accuplacer test or submit the appropriate SAT/ACT/TAKS/STARR scores to the TSI compliance office. Students who are not able to take the placement exam on Lubbock campus will need to make arrangements with the TSI Compliance Office to take the test locally at an approved location. Students who are not TSI complete must enroll in the appropriate TSI course as specified by the TSI Compliance Office.
All students attending college in the state of Texas on campus, including students taking courses at a satellite campus, must submit proof of receiving the vaccination for meningitis or meet the exemption criteria. Students who are 22 years of age or older are exempt from this requirement. Online-only students are not required to submit proof of vaccination.
Red Raider Orientation (RRO)
New Lubbock campus students must register for and attend an RRO session. Students who do not attend an RRO session will be unable to register for courses.
New distance students taking courses online or at a satellite campus do not need to attend RRO. If you are a distance student with an RRO hold, please contact your assigned advisor for assistance.
Student Business Services (SBS)
Programs for Academic Retention and Development (PADR)
Students who have not made sufficient academic progress due to poor or failing grades may be required to take a PADR course. Students with a PADR hold should call the number listed on the hold for information on how to enroll in the required PADR course.
All General Studies students will have a hold from their assigned advisor every semester for course advising. You will not be able to register until you have contacted your advisor and discussed your plans for the upcoming semester(s).
For information on how to remove a course advising hold please refer to the Course Advising page.
