Red Raider Orientation Checklist

Set up your eRaider Account.
- Click on "Activate Account" at the eRaider website. (This will open in a new browser window.)
- Enter your eRaider username, birth date, and activation code; then click "I Agree."
- Choose your password according to the University standards.
- Choose your forgotten password question. (Write this down somewhere. It is case-sensitive!)
- Set up your TTU email; then click "Next."
- Verify your information is correct and then click "Create Account." If all goes well, your Student ID should show up on the screen.
- If something goes wrong or you need help, call IT Help Central at (806) 742.4357 or email them at ithelpcentral@ttu.edu
Send a copy of your shot record to Student Health Services.
Sign up for your on-campus housing with Student Housing.
Confirm that your scholarships and financial aid are in place.
1. Use your eRaider username to sign into Raiderlink.
2. Click on the "My Tech (for Students)" tab.
3. Find the link for "Financial Aid Information."
4. On the Main Menu page, click on the link called "Student and Financial Aid."
5. This page gives you access to view your Financial Aid and your Student Account information.
Be sure that you have complied with the Texas Success Initiative.
1. TSI took the place of the TASP test in 2003. It ensures that students at Texas universities possess the necessary academic skills to succeed. If you are not exempt, you must take the Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA), the Compass, Accuplacer, or Asset test.

Purchase your parking permit for the semester.
1. Go to the University Parking Services website.
2. Go to "My Parking Account" in the left sidebar. Use your eRaider username and password to sign in if necessary.
3. In the Account Menu, click on "Buy Parking Permit."
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the term for which you are buying a permit.
5. Follow the rest of the instructions on the page to finish your purchase.
If required, take placement exams.
Complete the StrengthsQuest assessment.
Confirm receipt of final transcripts.
1. Log into Raiderlink using your eRaider username and password.
2. Click on the "Applications" tab.
3. You should see a table that shows the documents TTU has received from you and the documents we still need, including your final high school transcripts.
