General Overview
Beginning in the Spring of 2010, Academic Support & Facilities Resources (ASFR), under the direction of the Office of the Provost, implemented centralized/collaborative scheduling in an effort to streamline the scheduling process and increase efficiency across campus. ASFR, in collaboration with the centralized colleges/departments, works to address various scheduling issues and improve current scheduling practices.
Expectations
ASFR will reach out to the Associate Deans of the centralized/collaborative areas and listen to their departmental goals while providing information on how the collaborative process will aid their college in reaching higher utilization and maintaining maximum efficiency. The academic requirements will be honored first, however, the building occupants and faculty preferences will also be examined and honored, when feasible.
Academic Support & Facilities Resources' primary goal will remain the "student first" initiative and not allow facilities to stand in the way of enrollment growth.
