Application Instructions

Please complete the following steps to apply to our graduate program:

1. Visit ApplyTexas.org to begin the online application process.

2. After completing the ApplyTexas.org online application, please complete
and submit the Atmospheric Science Group APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION
You may e-mail this application to atmo@ttu.edu or send via postal mail
to the address listed at the bottom of the application page.

3. Submit your Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores.
An official copy should be sent directly to the Texas Tech Graduate School.
The scores should also be reported to the Atmospheric Science
Group on the APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION form or, if obtained later, by letter.
If you have not obtained this test score, you should do so before February 1
(see current Graduate Catalog for discussion of rules).

4. Submit transcripts (two copies).
* One (official) transcript should be sent to the Texas Tech Graduate School:
Texas Tech University, Office of Graduate Admissions, Box 41030, Lubbock, TX
79409-1030.

* The other (which can either be an original official or photocopy
of an original transcript; NO UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS please) should be sent
directly to Atmospheric Science: Atmospheric Science Group, Texas Tech
University, Box 41053, Lubbock, TX 79409-1053

5. Submit three (3) letters of reference.
As part of step 2, the Graduate School has a reference form that will automatically
be e-mailed to the references you provide. If your references wish to submit
additional information, please have them fill the form provided here: Reference Letter Form.
This additional information should be e-mailed directly to the Atmospheric Science Group
(atmo@ttu.edu).
