Special Education Conference

The Special Education Conference is jointly sponsored by Region 17 Education Service Center and the Burkhart Center to provide continuing education and training to educators and parents in the South Plains area.

The Burkhart Family Endowed Lecture Series

The lecture series brings distinguished lecturers in autism education to Texas Tech University and the Lubbock community.

Graduate Programs in Special Education

The Graduate Programs in Special Education enhance individual understanding of specific research-based practices for working with students with ASD through a 15-hour university training program. The TTU College of Education Department of Special Education also offers a BCBA approved course sequence.

Students and professionals interested in pursuing certification with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BCBA) as a BCBA/BCaBA or RBT should consider graduate work with the Burkhart Outreach Clinic for Autism at the Burkhart Center.
