UCC 2017 -- Call for Tutorials

UCC 2017 will feature state-of-the-art tutorials from leading experts in academia and industry. Topics can range in their level of detail, from introductory
to highly advanced content. All tutorials must address one or more topic areas
mentioned in the UCC 2017 Call for Papers. The proposal should clearly align
with the overall scope of UCC 2017.

Tutorials may be half day (3.5 hours) to full day. Proposers should clearly
indicate if their tutorial is half or full day -- and if the proposer would be
willing to give a half day tutorial if a full day tutorial is not accepted
due to space constraints.

Deadline for Tutorial Proposals: July 31, 2017 *
Notification of Acceptance: Aug. 27, 2017

* (Extended!)

Your proposal should contain the following information:

-- Tutorial title
-- Full name(s) and affiliation(s) of the instructor(s)
-- Extended abstract (500-1000 words) detailing:
(a) the technical topic,
(b) its importance to Utility and Cloud Computing, and
(c) benefit to UCC2017 attendees.
-- Table of contents structured into sections and subsections
-- Potential attendee profile (students, industry, academia, etc)
-- Biography of the instructor(s) (100-200 words per instructor/presenter)
-- Infrastructure requirements to deliver the tutorial (e.g. a projector,
network access, etc).
-- How tutorial content will be made available to attendees (e.g. via a
Web site, YouTube video, etc)

If the tutorial has been presented before, please indicate: (i) event,
date(s) of delivery and (iii) content.

We will give preference to tutorials that have both academic and industry

If a tutorial has been accepted, we will help the proposers advertise it widely.

Depending on the level of attendance at a tutorial, financial support
will be available to support registration costs for *one* presenter from each

Please submit your tutorial proposal (with subject line: "UCC 2017 Tutorial Proposal") to Omer Rana (ranaof(at)cardiff.ac.uk)
