"The Service Break trips help me learn about different issues facing society and the world, then I get to do a small part in helping alleviate those issues. It really opens my eyes to things I don't always get to experience in Lubbock or at home," Ahalee Cathey (CALUE Service Break participant).
Break Away from the Expected!
Service Breaks are week-long*, weekend*, international*, and local* service opportunities for students, faculty, and staff held during winter, spring, and summer campus breaks. Service Breaks allow TTU students to work together to assist communities across the United States and internationally through service and engagement activities.
By engaging in hands-on, experiential service, students understand the impact they can have on communities and develop a commitment to life-long active citizenship.
*Trip lengths vary by opportunity. For more information, contact: Jacy Proctor-Unit Coordinator firstname.lastname@example.org.
