I've wanted to become an optometrist since I was a young child and the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry is one of the best. After utilizing the UCC services, I got accepted to University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry and will start August 2018. The most exciting part of becoming an optometrist will be when I have clinical rotations that enable me to perform eye exams on real patients. Dr. Lockwood, Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Biological Sciences, told me I should contact Carol Trigg at the University Career Center for help with my resume and personal statement for optometry school admissions. The UCC counselors who helped me were very patient and informative. I now recommend the UCC to all of my friends and fellow classmates when working on resumes or personal statements for graduate school. One tip I learned from my experience with the University Career Center is to have your documents critiqued again after your first edits.
