Awards and Recognition
Purpose
The Greek Awards Banquet will honor outstanding individual members, alumni, faculty, as well as chapter achievements. The Chapter Excellence Awards are designed to provide recognition for chapters who are going above and beyond in the designated areas: Community Service, Leadership, and Scholarship. This application will also assist chapters in preparing for annual inter/national reports and award applications.
Instructions
All application submissions must be submitted on-line. Below is a list of all awards, click on the award to apply. Submit applications on-line via OrgSync by 5pm on Friday, March 1, 2013. Late applications will not be accepted.
Criteria
Chapters and individuals must be in good standing with Texas Tech University and not have been found responsible for any violations of the Texas Tech University Student Code of Conduct during the calendar year that this award recognizes in order to receive awards.
Award Selection Process
Individual awards will be given based on the scoring of the judging panel and are independent of all other awards. Chapter Excellence, Chapter of the Year and the Dean’s Cup will be awarded based on the Chapter Excellence criteria. To be eligible for Chapter of the Year or the Dean’s Cup, you must be recognized for all three of the Chapter Excellence awards.
Ticket Information
Awards will be announced at the Greek Awards Banquet on April 11, 2012 6:00pm at the Overton Hotel. All chapters need to fill out the Greek Awards Banquet Ticket Request on-line via OrgSync link is available via Coming Soon. The Center for Campus Life will try to satisfy all ticket requests. However, you are NOT GUARANTEED to receive your requested amount of tickets. Click here to request tickets. Request must be submitted by Tuesday, April 2, 2013.

NEW AWARD!!!
This award is designed to honor a member or chapter of the Texas Tech fraternity and sorority community that have contributed in some way to improving the community and/or are upholding the values of the TTU fraternity and sorority community. You may not nominate your own chapter or someone from your chapter. The intent is for chapters or individuals to nominate someone outside of his/her chapter.

- Dean’s Cup for Overall Chapter of the Year
The culmination of the evening will include the announcement of the winner of The Dean’s Cup of Excellence. This award will recognize the top chapter in the Greek community at Texas Tech University. The four Greek Council Chapters of the Year recipients are the only chapters eligible for this award.
Selection will be based on meeting the criteria of the Chapter Excellence Awards and demonstrated superior work as voted on by the Greek Awards judges. Only one chapter in the Texas Tech Greek Community will receive this award.
The chapter winning the Dean’s Cup of Excellence will receive a traveling trophy for the year and a congratulatory letter from the administration of Texas Tech University.
