Risk Intervention & Safety Education (RISE) - The RISE office works to implement evidence-informed and theory-based strategies that are prevention focused, culturally competent and inclusive, and support student success.

Raider Assistance Program - This program provides a safe and confidential place for Texas Tech University students to address questions and concerns they have regarding alcohol and other drugs. To make an appointment, call 806-743-2848 .

Student Health Services - Students pay a medical services fee which gives them access to a variety of services at the Student Wellness Center. If you, or someone you believe is suffering from alcohol poisoning dial 911.

Operations Division: Planning and Administration - Room reservations in academic buildings and outside the Student Union Building are coordinated through this office. For more information, email at operations.events@ttu.edu.

Student Involvement - Students organizations that need help planning events may contact Student Involvement. Grounds Use Policy - Registered student organizations can request use of outside space on Texas Tech property. Applications are due weekly to the Student Government Services Office (Student Union Building, Room 302) by noon on Friday. The Outdoor Events Coordinating Committee (OECC) hears all of the requests and is chaired by Mike Gunn.

Student Union Building (Room Reservations) - To reserve a room in the Student Union Building contact Room Reservations. Rooms reservations are available during regular business hours. In most cases, registered student organizations can reserve rooms in the SUB free of charge. Please contact Austin Pace in the Student Union Reservation Office regarding room reservations.

Financial

Red to Black - Offers free financial coaching to Texas Tech students during one-on-one consultations and group presentations. Some of the topics covered include creating a budget, saving money, and using credit. Please contact Red to Black for more information.

Student Government Association - SGA appropriates student service fees to registered student organization. Please see the SGA Funding Application Process and Handbook to see qualifications and restrictions, or contact Teresa Davis for additional questions.

Hazing

Is This Hazing? - Contact Student Life to learn about the definition of hazing, and the repercussions of hazing. Additional educational and outreach opportunities to address hazing are conducted by Student Invovlement. Please email Student Life for more information regarding hazing.

Student Legal Services - Student legal services may provide legal advice regarding situations of hazing. These licensed attorneys represent students on a number of issues. Please contact Student Legal Services for questions regarding appointments and representation in court.

Student Rights & Resolution - Provides informal, neutral, and confidential dispute resolution services. The Student Resolution Center operates independently as a supplement to existing administrative or formal grievance procedures, and they have no formal decision making authority. Texas Tech University Police Department - All alleged violation of hazing should be reported to the Texas Tech Police Department if the incident occurs on campus. It is against state law and university policy to haze. For more information, contact the Texas Tech Police Department.

Healthy Relationships/Violence Prevention

Student Counseling Center- Offers outreach presentation for developing healthy relationships. The counseling center also provides a variety of counseling services such as Togetherall, MYSSP, Therapy Assistance Online, Manage Your Mood, Getting Started, Group Counseling, and Brief Counseling. Liability

Office of Risk Management - The Office of Risk Management is a resource that student organizations may consider if they would like to purchase insurance. They are also knowledgeable about liability concerns, and are able to make referrals to local insurance agencies when needed.

Mental Health

Behavioral Intervention Team - This team is made up of professionals across campus. They address behaviors that are disruptive and they address mental health safety issues. The team works with students to make sure they are referred to the right resources. Student referrals can be made online through the Students of Concern Report.

QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer): Suicide Prevention Training - This presentation teaches students, faculty, and staff the signs of suicide, how to approach someone who feels suicidal, and how and where to refer that person for help. Contact Dr. Amanda Wheeler at the Student Counseling Center for more information.

Student Counseling Center - The Student Counseling Center provides individual counseling, couples counseling, and group counseling for students to address mental health. Counselors are also available to help students in crisis during normal business hours.

Texas Tech Police Department - If you believe that you are in danger contact the Texas Tech Police Department if you are on campus, or contact local authorities if you are off campus.

Sexual Assault

Office of Student Conduct - In conjunction with the Texas Tech Police Department, the Office of Student Conduct publishes the annual Clery Report, which includes all Texas Tech campus crime statistics. For policies concerning Sexual Assault/Misconduct, contact the Office of Student Conduct.

Student Counseling Center - Offers both individual and group counseling for sexual assault victims. They can also help a sexual assault victim in their next steps to report a sexual assault. The Student Counseling Center also sponsors the Sexual Assault Awareness Week.

Voice of Hope (formerly the Lubbock Rape Crisis Center) - The mission of the Voice of Hope is to provide victims of sexual assault with support, promote awareness, and provide outreach education to the Lubbock community.

Substance/Drug Abuse

Student Counseling Center - The Student Counseling Center provides a number of services including individual, and group counseling for students suffering from substance or drug abuse. Counselors are also available for walk in crisis coverage during normal hours.

Center for Collegiate Recovery Communities - The Center for Collegiate Recovery Communities offers students in recovery a nurturing and supportive community that will flourish with strengthened recovery, personal and professional growth, and academic achievement, including retention in school, high GPAs and graduation rates.
