Leadership and Civic Engagement
Leadership and Civic Engagement Programs strive to empower students and staff to become effective leaders and active citizens. Through intentional programs, services, advising and advocacy, we encourage students to become engaged in meaningful learning experiences at Texas Tech, the Lubbock community, and their future communities. What is Civic Engagement? Civic Engagement Programs include individual and/or collective action designed to identify and address issues of public concern. Such issues include diversity, education, equality, poverty, and other social concerns. Leadership and Civic Engagement Programs create interactions between you, your community, your government and society. These interactions take shape in the form of various activities such as volunteering at a soup kitchen, participating in a political rally, voting, and much more.
