Your first year at Texas Tech University is filled with many opportunities and choices.
The First Year Raider Experience (FYRE) can lead you to a winning first year. FYRE is a collaborative collection of programs and services in the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management that will assist you in your transition to college living and provide a support system to help you successfully graduate from Texas Tech University.
First Year Raider Experience programs and services will help you:
- experience greater connections to the campus through participation in programs and traditions
- understand the campus culture and know the resources available to you
- develop successful patterns academically and socially through connections with faculty, staff, and students
- make a connection between in and out of classroom experiences
Transfer Connection
If you are a new transfer student at Texas Tech, check out the Transfer Connection. Your journey can also be filled with FYRE programs and activities like any other first year student.
While this isn't your first collegiate experience, this is your first year at Texas Tech, and we want to make you feel welcome and help you through your journey in higher education. Consider FYRE as a way to get to know your new home.
