Raider Welcome
     August 19-23, 2013

Raider Welcome is a weeklong series of FUN and FREE events designed to welcome new and returning students to the Texas Tech campus. Among the activities are a few major events, some old-standing traditions, and some exciting new opportunities that you just cannot afford to miss!

Raider Welcome events are set to help you experience what services and programs are here for you! Whether you're new or returning to campus, these events - which begin the Monday before the start of fall classes - will help you prepare for a successful year and experience what it means to be a Texas Tech student.

Raider Welcome is designed to complement your Orientation experience.


At Red Raider Orientation you: At Raider Welcome you will:
  • Met with an academic advisor
  • Reconnect with your advisor and meet faculty members
  • Met your classmates in small groups
  • Build friendships with your classmates
  • Became familiar with campus
  • Become an expert in navigating campus
  • Learned the academic and social expectations of the University
  • Demonstrate these expectations
  • Were introduced to involvement opportunities
  • Sign up for student groups and other engagement opportunities

By the end of the week you'll have all the tools you need to start your first semester and make Texas Tech University your own.
