The Texas Tech Cheer Squad is comprised of up to 32 talented cheerleaders. Current members work for such organizations as NCA, UCA, America's Best, and many all star gyms across Texas.

The Texas Tech Cheerleaders are one the powerhouses of collegiate cheer squads.  After competing in the 2009 national championship, the Texas Tech Cheerleaders finished in 3rd Place - school's highest placement in Division 1A Coed!  Head Cheer Coach, Joshua Anderson and choreographer Kristen Carver, former Tech Cheer Coach, choreographed the winning routine. The squad also received the 2009 Innovative Choreography Award.

In the past, the Tech Cheerleaders have placed at the national competition level including 4th place, 5th place, and winning the All-Girl division in 2000.

Members of the Cheer Squad perform at all football games, women’s home volleyball games, and men’s and women’s home basketball games. In addition, cheerleaders travel to all post season football bowl games, Big 12 tournament basketball games, and NCAA/NIT basketball tournament games. The squad also represents Texas Tech at many university and community events throughout the year.
