Program Requirements - Passport to Leadership
All Women's Leadership Program participants will receive a Passport to Leadership. You will use this compact and easy to carry passport to document the events that you have attended that support your learning experience in WLP and outside of the program.
This passport is to be used until your graduation. Periodically we will check to see where you have traveled to.
You will be required to attend five events outside of Women's Leadership Program that focu on the following topics:
- Women's History
- Women's Leadership
- Women serving communities
- Women in the Workplace
- Feminist Theory
- Diversity
Research suggests that women leaders share common traits. We encourage you to attend various workshops outside of Women's Leadership program that focus on these topics:
- Leadership skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Problem solving and decision making abilities
- Personal organization
- Time management
- Communication
Events may include lectures, movies, films, plays, meetings, etc. You will receive monthly updates on events on campus that you may attend. We encourage you to attend events as families or with someone from Women's Leadership Program if possible. Yo uare encouraged to take friends to any of these events.
