Research
Several research entities exist within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, each focusing on a specific range of interests. Some of these entities are engaged in interdisciplinary research involving faculty and students from other departments and other universities. In several areas, including wind effects, disaster mitigation, environmental studies, unsaturated soils and structural engineering, the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering has earned national and international prominence conducting ongoing long-term research over more than three decades.
