Research Interests

Born and raised in Dallas, TX I grew up with an interest in Environmental Engineering. I attained my Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Texas Tech with minors in both Mathematics and Civil Engineering. I was accepted into the graduate program at Texas Tech and soon after graduated with a Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering.I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering under Dr. Danny Reible. During my initial experience working as a Research Assistant for Dr. Reible I performed an independent study to evaluate the bioavailability and sorption kinetics of several Poly Chlorinated Biphenyl’s (PCBs) to Polyoxymethylene (POM) in water. These results were used to develop a partitioning coefficient that could be implemented for PCB-like Dioxins and Furans. I am currently continuing this research by developing a methodology for several Dioxin/Furans and their bioavailability in several different polymers and phases in the environment, and hope to create a model that will depict the transport process of these contaminants.Currently, I am also the Teaching Assistant for Dr. Audra Morse for the Environmental Systems Design Course, required for all Graduate Environmental Engineer
