Research Interests

Roxana J. Javid received her B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology in 2009 and the M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 2012. She joined the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering at Texas Tech University in Fall 2012. Her main areas of research interest are sustainable transportation, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), transportation impacts on climate change, alternative fuel vehicle adoption, and big data statistical analysis. In particular, she investigates the contribution of road transportation to global warming, as well as the integration of diverse data sources to discover the role of sustainable transportation policies in emission mitigation. She is currently working on ITS’s applications in transportation-related energy consumption.
