Personal Information:

Dr. Lenore Dai received her BS in Polymer Science and Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology and her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois. She worked for PPG Industries, Inc. for 5.5 years prior to joining the Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech University in July, 2002. Dr. Dai is the recipient of a National Science Foundation CAREER Award, 3M Nontenured Faculty Awards, a Whitacre Engineering Research Award, a Lockheed Martin Teaching Award, a Texas Tech Alumni Association New Faculty Award, AICHE Professor of the Year Awards, and a Young Alumnus Award. Her academic research interests are in the areas of nanorheology, surface, interfacial, and colloidal science, materials at the nanoscale, and thermal and mechanical analyses of complex fluids, polymers, and composites.
