Personal Information:
Dr. Rajesh Khare earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology (formerly UDCT) in Mumbai and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware. He conducted post-doctoral research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, following which he moved to Accelrys, Inc. where he worked for several years in the R&D department. Prior to joining Texas Tech University in 2005, he was a Visiting Scientist in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
The major thrust of Prof. Khare’s research group is on using molecular simulation tools for deciphering the relationship between the molecular level structure as well as dynamics of materials and their thermodynamic and transport properties. The specific research areas of current interest are physics of complex fluids, polymer nanocomposites and efficient production of biofuels.
