Dr. Ronald C. Hedden

Principal Investigator

Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University (2000)

B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University (1995)

Prof. Ronald Hedden's group studies polymer networks and gels, with projects addressing basic polymer physics aspects, structure-property relationships, and novel applications in Chemical Engineering.  Recent work has addressed applications of crosslinked polymers in biofuels (reactor design and separations) and in microencapsulated phase-change materials (PCMs).  Prof. Hedden earned his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, and was an NRC postdoctoral researcher at NIST (Gaithersburg, MD) and an Assistant Professor at Penn State University before joining Texas Tech in 2009.
