Reaction Engineering & Particulate Processes

Chemical reactors are the heart of many processes in diverse industries (e. g., chemical, pharmaceutical, energy resources, mineral processing). At Texas Tech University, we have developed a dimension−less reactor design methodology for reactors with multiple reactions, which provides the means to characterize and optimize their operations. Research work is focused on developing reactor configurations and selecting operating conditions that provide superior performance. One current project is aimed at developing an efficient method to produce biodiesel continuously.
