Undergraduate Program
Introduction
The Department of Chemical Engineering provides a broad-based undergraduate
program emphasizing the basic and engineering sciences and including individual academic
counseling. This environment enables students to develop their intellectual capabilities
and interests as fully as possible.
The chemical engineering curriculum is sufficiently general that, upon completion,
students are prepared for careers in any of the process industries which involve chemical
transformations. Employment opportunities cover a wide spectrum which includes, among
others, petroleum refining, petroleum production, plastics production, basic chemicals,
petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, metal production, textiles, semiconductors, and various
biomedical, biological, and environmental specialties
The Graduate Ch.E. Program at TTU introduces students to the excitement of world-class research in Process Control, Bioengineering, Polymers, Rheology and Materials Science, Computational Fluid Dynamics and Reaction Engineering. Our laboratory facilities support innovative experimental programs and our computational resources are exploited for state-of-the art modeling activities.
Chemical Engineering at TTU has a long history of healthy interactions with industry and both the undergraduate and graduate programs benefit from these programs.
