Archer Scholarship-Math

The Archer Scholarship provides awards of up to $5000 per year, renewable for up to 4 years, for entering Freshmen who have declared Math as her/his major (or double major). Qualifications include financial need, GPA, and 2 letters of recommendation from individuals who can attest to the academic ability and character of the applicant. Renewal of the scholarship is dependent on continuation in the major and maintenance of a minimum 3.5 GPA every semester.

To apply, please fill out the TTU General Scholarships application and FASFA. Have your 2 recommenders submit letters with your Texas Tech scholarship application.

From the Archer Scholarship: "The income shall provide scholarships for high school senior students accepted for admission to TTU who have financial need and are recommended by high school officials as superior students, and are of good character, attested by at least 2 letters and/or affidavits from responsible people in the student's community.  When the credentials have been presented and approved, the student or students shall be given annual grants in the amounts as determined by the University from the income payable in two installments, the first at the beginning of the fall college term with the second payment for the spring term depending on such student having a 3.5 grade point average earned the preceding term and with the second annual installment to be withheld if this grade point average is not met.  Such payments shall continue for a period of four years in order for such student to pursue a degree in math."
