Capable Guidance

CMLL strives to provides accessible advising, for the full spectrum of students—those seeking information at the degree requirements level, those exploring a minor option, and students who wish to major. Our advisors not only represent and interpret departmental or University policies and procedures to the student, but also help the student successfully navigate the various organizational networks of the institution. CMLL currently has a mix of faculty and professional advisors available to students, depending upon particular programs.

The CMLL Advising, Recruitment & Retention Center is located on the second floor of the Foreign Languages Building, in rooms 200A and 200B. Students can “drop-in” during advising hours, and can also set specific appointments. It is sometimes common to see a small podium in the hallway near the above rooms, upon which students can sign-in to see an advisor; this assures fair, structured and equitable service to any students who may appear for advising, especially when student visits are high.

As a component of CMLL's Web site redesign, more detailed resources will be available through this page very soon.
