- Mr. Hiroaki Umehara, an M.A. student in Applied Linguistics who is also a G.P.T.I. in Japanese, has been selected as the College of Arts and Sciences winner of the Texas Tech Parents Association Academic Citizenship Award for 2012. He will receive the award at the Texas Tech Parents Association Spring Awards breakfast in April.
