Student Union Building
Texas Tech University

Classics is teaming up with Language & Cultures to welcome teachers and students of languages other than English for a day of fun and learning at Texas Tech University! This is a day to celebrate the study of languages and cultures and motivate our students to continue their studies after high school. At Classics Day, participants will:

* Experience a sample university class
* Meet professors and university students
* Participate in fun activities
* Get a tour of the TTU campus
* Learn about careers with a degree in languages/cultures

Teachers should confirm participation by sending an email to william.tortorelli@ttu.edu no later than October 1st, 2018.

Buses may park free of charge in lot C16 (Commuter West), pictured here.

Teachers and students attending Classics Day can be dropped off on Flint Avenue, just north of the intersection with 18th St. Drivers can enter the TTU campus on Flint and let people out at a bus drop off location just next to the School of Architecture. From there, it is a short walk east to the Student Union Building (located just east of the Library). Check-in and the opening session will be in the Matador Room, located on the second floor of the building. After dropping everyone off, drivers can continue north on Flint, make a left onto Main St., then make a left onto Indiana Avenue, then a right onto Texas Tech Parkway, and from there turn right into the C16 lot.

This event was made possible, in part, by a mini grant from the Humanities Center at Texas Tech University.

This event also received generous support from the Texas Tech Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
