Plot Outline: The Chateau of Fontainebleau lies in the heart of the former forest of Biére and emerged over the centuries out of the dreams of French Monarchs. It is hardly surprising that it bears the mark of those who added to its beauty. But the sheer size of the domain and the complexity of the various building can make visiting a formidable task. The camera proves to be the best of guides, revealing from its different angles (aerial views and long interior traveling shots) all that the human eye cannot reach. With its highly informative commentary, this film invites the viewer to discover the magnificence of a site steeped in history. A film by Pierre Champetier.
