Meet the Admin Team
New Assistant Lab Director - Allison Cattell, PhD.
As of August 2015, Dr. Allison Cattell will serve as Assistant Director of the Language Laboratory and Research Center (LLRC) in the Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures.
As Assistant Director of the LLRC, Cattell will assist the Director in the administration of the LLRC educational resources area as well as in the supervision and training of LLRC personnel. She will also provide technological support to faculty and students in CMLL, provide faculty with both technical and pedagogical advice, and appraise emerging pedagogical innovations. Furthermore, she will assist faculty in locating and obtaining grants to fund research projects and special initiatives.
Cattell earned her Ph.D. in German from the University of Waterloo and conducts research in Second Language Acquisition (SLA), Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL), literary criticism, and critical theory.
