I received my undergraduate degree in Classics with a minor in Art History from New York University in May of 2018, where my senior honors thesis focused on the presence of Athenian allies at the City Dionysia. My current research interests primarily lie in Ancient Greek religion, festivals, and performance and the various ways in which each facilitated social interactions between otherwise underrepresented groups.

Isabel Ojeda holds a law degree from Centro de Estudios Universitarios del Norte (México). She earned her master's degree in Latin American Literature at the State University of New Mexico. In NMSU she worked as a Spanish Instructor teaching lower level Spanish classes. She has experience in the coordination of tables of conversation and tutoring heritage speaker students. Ojeda is a graduate student at Texas Tech University (TTU) in the Spanish doctoral program, currently working on her dissertation. She was born in Saltillo, Coah., Mexico and raised in Coahuila and Chihuahua. She has taught lower level Spanish for the past 6 years, teaching at NMSU and TTU, both on the TTU Lubbock campus and at the TTU Seville Center (with the Study Abroad Program). Ojeda is currently teaching one intermediate level Spanish Heritage course. She is the vice-president of SIGMA DELTA PI and collaborate for the past three years in Céfiro. Her main interests as a researcher are cultural, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary studies. Currently works with the literature of drug trafficking and its intermediality and influence in the psychology of the masses. Her non-academic interests include traveling, photography, and spending time with her family and friends. She loves to do creative writing, poetry and theater.
