My principal areas of research are second language (L2) reading, the use of technology in L2 teaching, Business German, and the effects of study abroad on language & cultural understanding.

- 2005 Excellence in Teaching Award, (one of two faculty annually invited to be initiated into Mortarboard), Texas Tech
