Marta Tecedor Cabrero is an assistant professor in the department of Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures at Texas Tech University. She earned her phD in Foreign Language Acquisition Research and Education at the University of Iowa. She specializes in the study of computer-based tools and second language learning, in particular with regards to the intersection of language, social interaction, and task-based instruction. In her current research she examines the developmental patterns of beginning learners’ interactional competence during instructional videoconferencing conversations.
