SPAN 5343 - La adquisición del español como segunda lengua

Dr. Idoia Elola
TR 2:00 – 3:20
FL 118

Why do students have (or do not have) difficulties acquiring a grammatical aspect in Spanish such as the distinction between imperfect and preterit or why cannot they master certain sounds? The main purpose of this course is to provide an overview of issues in second language acquisition related to Spanish. The purpose of the course is to strengthen the students’ foundation and understanding of the Spanish language (syntax, semantics, phonetics, phonology, etc.) and to raise students’ awareness of how second language learners of Spanish acquire the target language. In addition, students will be able to write a research proposal, the results of which can be applied in their language classes and future graduate work.
