
Program Description
The Texas Tech Summer Russian Language Study Program in Moscow offers students the opportunity to study Russian in an environment of nearly total immersion in the language. The program is designed to serve students at all levels of Russian language study, from absolute beginners to advanced. The specially planned curriculum offers intensive small group instruction as well as individualized tutorials in the areas of Russian grammar, composition, conversation, phonetics and intonation, newspaper reading, and literature. The cultural program is designed to leave the student with unforgettable impressions of Russian hospitality and culture.
Tentative Schedule
Program departs July 4, 1999 and returns August 11, 1999; additional details to be announced.
What the Program Includes
- Four weeks of intensive language instruction
- Room and board with Russian families or in a dormitory
- Services of Texas Tech resident director
- Round trip airfare from Dallas {Dallas - Moscow - Dallas}
- Academic excursions with teacher guides
- Cultural excursions
- Post-travel program to St. Petersburg
- All instructional materials
- Pre- and post- diagnostic testing
- Six units of Texas Tech credit
