The ConocoPhillips Academic Success Bridge Program
July 6 - August 8, 2008

About the ConocoPhillips Academic Success Bridge Program
The ConocoPhillips Academic Success Bridge program provides you study skills training, academic preparation, tutoring, mentoring, and other academic support services. The program offers courses based on the your results from the Texas Tech chemistry and mathematics placement exams. It starts the summer before your freshman year, and continues through your first year at Texas Tech.
Studies show that you are more likely to get better grades, stay in engineering, and get better, higher paying jobs if:
- You have enhanced study skills before starting college
- You understand how your engineering degree can be used. The ConocoPhillips Bridge program helps you with each of these areas.
The ConocoPhillips Bridge program is for you if you think you need a little help getting into the college rhythm. The resources allow you to take one or two courses in the summer with intense academic support. After completing the summer bridge experience, you can arrive in the fall with one or two required courses completed, enhanced confidence, and preparation to be successful in engineering. ConocoPhillips scholarships are awarded by the Bridge Scholarship Committee based on financial need, application and scholarship essay and other criteria established by the scholarship committee..
