How to Apply

ConocoPhillips Academic Success Bridge Program and Scholarship Application

You must complete an application to be considered for enrollment in the ConocoPhillips Bridge Program. A ConocoPhillips Bridge application checklist is available to aid you in the application process. If accepted, you will receive an acceptance letter. Upon acceptance, review the materials, sign, and return the Reservation Form to reserve your spot.

What courses will I take and what will happen during the ConocoPhillips Bridge Program?

During the ConocoPhillips Bridge Connections Experience, August 19-24, all ConocoPhillips Bridge students will be enrolled in an concentrated math review course. Students will take the Math Placement Exam after the program to ensure placement in the right math course for the fall semester.

Students will also have the opportunity to participate in the Chemistry Bridge program.


During the Fall 2012 Semester, ConocoPhillips Bridge students will register for:

  • Fall Academic Success Seminar (IS 1100)
  • Math Fundamentals for Engineering Students - (ENGR 1106 - as a part of the ConocoPhillips Bridge Connections Experience)

and a math course based on results from the Math Placement Exam retest. Math courses could include:

  • Precalculus - (MATH 1550)
  • Calculus I - (MATH 1451)
What Red Raider Orientation should I go to if I attend the ConocoPhillips Bridge program?

As a new Texas Tech student, you are expected to attend a Red Raider Orientation session before the start of the ConocoPhillips Bridge program. We recommend that you attend an orientation session early in the summer.

When can I move into the residence hall?

You can move to your fall semester room on August 18.

Where can my parents spend the night after the Welcome to ConocoPhillips Bridge Social on Sunday, August 19?

The Lubbock Convention and Visitors Bureau has information on hotels and accommodations in Lubbock.
